Never Alone

It’s funny, funny how people can be surrounded by others and still feel alone.  It’s funny how some of the most outgoing people I know are filled with insecurity and doubt, much like everyone else. When I really look at things and realize how similar we all are it’s not funny at all.

It’s sad, sad that the one thing that we all desire more than anything is love and we don’t even know how to receive it.  It’s sad that we dig deep to clean up our act and find that all we’re doing is washing in sewer water.  It’s sad that we all long for meaning and purpose but settle for much less: accolades at work, a pat on the back, a card from a friend, even a kiss from a loved one. When I really look at things and realize how much Christ can solve our problems it’s not sad at all.

It’s life healing, purpose giving, and love-initiated passion for us all…Jesus said

Matthew 11:28-30

New International Version (NIV)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

It’s life healing, purpose giving, and love-initiated passion for us all…

By loving me He makes me lovely, by touching me he makes me clean, by hearing me He gives me purpose and I’ll never be alone again.
