What is surrender, an attitude, a feeling, or a way of life? How do you surrender, by giving in, letting go, or stopping the fight? Look at the seasons and how they change. Surrendering to their fate, giving in to nature’s claim.
What if Winter decided to fight for more. Pushing spring aside, demanding attention, expecting things to never change. What impact would it have on the world? How would the world change? How would we change? Would anything stay the same?…
The truth is that every created thing lives in a state of surrender. Winter surrenders to spring and brings new life just as the caterpillar surrenders to the butterfly’s flight. The ocean’s waves crash against the shores, but without surrender the balance would be no more. Day gives way to night just as night succumbs to day. The eye relinquishes it’s sight, only for moment, but without it’s yielding sight would cease. Surrender impacts the world we know. But a life’s surrender impacts everything….

Surrender is what Jesus was commanding when he said, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.” (Matthew 16:25, NIV)
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and lovethe other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. (Matthew 6:24)
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword….And he who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:34)
“… whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:33)
…there is a God present who at that very moment takes possession of you. You may not feel it… but God takes possession if you will trust Him. When God has begun the work of absolute surrender in you, and when God has accepted your surrender, then God holds Himself bound to care for it and to keep it. Will you believe that? In this matter of surrender there are two: God and I– I a worm, God the everlasting and omnipotent Jehovah. Worm, will you be afraid to trust yourself to this mighty God now? God is willing. Do you not believe that He can keep you continually, day by day, and moment by moment?
King of my surrender Lord of all things you unhindered freed me to be more of you and less of me.
I surrender all.
Thank you chad. God is wanting something from me, and I am listening. Surrendering to Him is one, but the rest hasn’t been fully revealed to me yet, I dont think anyhow. Amen!
