Dear Family and Friends,
Hello! We’re writing to share something exciting that God has placed on our hearts. This summer, our family—Chad, Deanna, Jude (15), and Ian (12)—has the opportunity to serve on a short-term mission trip to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and we’d love to invite you to be part of it!
Over the past year, we’ve been praying as a family for ways to live more intentionally for God’s Kingdom. As we continue to lead and serve in our local church and community, this trip gives us the unique opportunity to step out together in faith—to serve as a family on mission.
From July 7th – 11th , we’ll be partnering with Grace City Church South Mission, a brand-new church plant that launched in southern Calgary in September 2024. We’ll join them in hosting a Vacation Bible School and Sports Camp for children in the community and will also engage in evangelism and outreach throughout the area.
You might be wondering—why Canada? That’s what we asked at first too! While Canada may seem close and culturally similar, it is actually one of the most post-Christian nations in North America. Less than 4% of Canadians profess faith in Jesus, and many children grow up with little or no understanding of who He is. What’s more, Calgary is one of the most diverse cities in Canada, with families from all over the world moving there. It’s a unique place where the nations are coming to us, and the gospel can go back out through them. This is a powerful opportunity to reach people from unreached or gospel-poor areas—right in our own hemisphere.
This kind of mission trip isn’t possible without a network of support—and that’s where you come in.
