Faith is a powerful force that effects all human relationships and experiences. When we drive a car, we put our faith in the machine to take us to our destination and to stay in one piece. We also express faith in our friends and loved ones when we confide in them, knowing that they will listen and support us. Faith is a key component of human connection and it allows us to live bravely, take risks, and open our heart to new possibilities.
THE GIFT OF FAITH
Romans 3:21-30 is one of the most powerful and enlightening passages in the New Testament. It discusses the importance of faith and reminds us that our salvation comes from God alone. In this passage, Paul explains that faith is not the result of our own efforts, but a gift from God that we can receive if we choose to believe. THE IMPORTANCE OF FAITH
The importance of faith cannot be overstated. Faith is at the core of our relationship with God, and it helps us to understand the mysteries of divine providence. Through faith, we come to know God’s love, grace, and mercy. In Romans 3:21-30, Paul explains that faith is the means by which we can be justified and made righteous before God. OUR OWN PURSUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Yet, even with the knowledge of the importance of faith, we often try to put our faith in other things. We look to money, relationships, or success as things that will provide us with lasting happiness and fulfillment. However, Romans 3:21-30 teaches us that these things are fleeting and will ultimately fail us. Only God can provide us with the lasting peace and joy that we seek.

Fundamentally, we all have a deep desire for acceptance, approval, identity, and significance. This is why we seek validation through our own proclaimed righteousness. We want to feel good about ourselves by working hard, achieving success, and building a good reputation. We believe that by proving ourselves worthy, we can find purpose and meaning in life. However, this pursuit often leads to an endless cycle of self-promotion, comparison, and burnout.
The gospel of Jesus Christ changes how we pursue righteousness. Rather than relying on our own efforts to earn God’s favor, we trust in the perfect righteousness of Jesus. Through his life, death and resurrection, we are given the opportunity to put our faith in Jesus gift and made righteous before God. This gives us a new identity as God’s beloved children.

The gospel transforms how we understand and pursue righteousness. Instead of trying to earn acceptance and significance through our own efforts, we trust in the righteousness of Jesus and seek to live for his glory. As we rest in his grace, we find true freedom and joy in serving others and making much of his name.
Let go – of any achievement mentality and trust God to save you and give you abundant life as the power of the gospel changes you daily.
Lean in – by walking in faith, trusting God to give you strength to live free and share boldly.
Lead others – to join you in a faith journey. Knowing God is more powerful in community.
